TriStar offers programs that support both students and parents in the home education journey:

Tuesday Enrichment Co-op

  • A collaborative learning day where parents serve as teachers and helpers in the classes their students attend.

Tutorial Program

  • A twice-week program with paid contract teachers offering core classes in an interactive, student-engaged environment.

Preschool: TriStar Little Learners

  • TriStar Early Learners is a warm, engaging, and age-appropriate Pre-K program designed for children ages 3–4 that meets twice a week.

Parent Support & Community

  • We offer Intro to Homeschooling, How to Homeschool High School, Co-op Q&A, Coffee Talk, and a Curriculum Fair, along with events like high school graduation, prom, and more.


What We Offer

Parent-Led Tuesday Co-Op

A parent-led program for students in K5–12th grade that supports education through hands-on, engaging classes.

What makes our co-op unique:

  • Parents stay on-site and are part of the day

  • Families serve as teachers or classroom helpers

  • Students learn in interactive, not passive, environments

  • Builds community through shared responsibility

How it works:

  • Meets weekly on Tuesdays

  • Enrichment-style classes (not core curriculum)

  • Designed to complement what families are doing at home

All families are required to attend an Information Meeting.

Tutorial Program

A drop-off program designed to support families with full-curriculum classes in both core and elective subjects.

What to expect:

  • Meets Mondays and Thursdays

  • Core and elective classes available

  • Students are active participants, not passive learners

  • Supports parents by taking on direct instruction in key subject areas

Who teaches:

  • Paid contract instructors

  • Many are professionals in their fields

  • Bring real-world experience into the classroom

Pre-School: TriStar Little Learners

TriStar Little Learners is a warm, engaging, and age-appropriate Pre-K program designed for children ages 3–4. Meeting twice weekly, our class blends structured learning with hands-on exploration to build foundational academic, social, and motor skills. With a maximum class size of 10 students, each child receives personal attention in a nurturing environment that supports curiosity, creativity, and confidence. We follow a developmentally appropriate, play-based model aligned with the TN Early Learning Developmental Standards (TN-ELDS).

Program Information:

Program Schedule:
Mondays & Thursdays (10:00 AM – 2:00 PM): A full instructional day including literacy, math, STEAM, movement, art, outdoor play, and lunch.

Requirements:
Fully Potty Trained, Lunch, Snack

Daily Expectations:
Children should arrive with: a backpack, change of clothes, labeled lunch, water bottle, and weather-appropriate outerwear. Communication folders will go home weekly. We focus on safety, kindness, hands-on learning, and joyful growth.

Daily Learning Framework:
- Morning/Table Activities, Circle Time, Literacy & Math Centers, Outdoor Play / Gross Motor
- Lunch break & Snacks
- Art & Sensory Exploration, STEAM Learning, Quiet Time, Music & Movement, Center Time & Play, Closing Routine


Children Will Learn:
Early literacy and pre-reading skills, Number sense, counting, and early math, Fine-motor and gross-motor development, STEAM exploration and science inquiry, social-emotional development and cooperation.

TriStar has active clubs in our Tuesday Co-Op program. Both National Beta Club and 4H are available.
