Frequently Asked Questions

  • Our next Tutorial semester (Fall 2026) begins on the week of Monday, August 24, 2026

    Therefore, the first Monday class would be August 24.
    The first Wednesdays class would be August 27.

  • Yes, we are currently offering a variety of subjects for grades Kinder through 12th.

  • Some of our high school courses may fulfill high school transcript requirements. Please check with your umbrella school and with the course descriptions below. Many of our high school courses offer either a full or half credit.

  • Currently, we are asking for a $50 non-refundable deposit to hold your child’s spot in the class. There are 3 options you may select during check out to the remaining balance.

    1) Send an invoice for full amount as soon as possible
    2) Send an invoice for full amount at the beginning of August
    3) Split the remaining amount into 3 payments due at the beginning of August, September, and October.

Students strengthen core math skills while building a foundation for pre-algebra. They will practice multiplication and division with whole numbers, work with fractions, and begin exploring concepts like exponents and solving for unknown values.

This class is structured with guided instruction and active practice, helping students build accuracy, confidence, and problem-solving skills.

Parents stay connected through clear weekly guidance, supporting continued practice and skill development at home.

YEAR COURSE

This hybrid course helps students build a strong foundation for higher-level math by strengthening core skills and introducing pre-algebra concepts. The instructor will create a Khan Academy class where students complete assignments throughout the week. All student put bring in a computer to class each week as Khan Academy is a web-based curriculum.

Class time is used to review progress, work through challenges, and practice new concepts together. Students will explore topics such as ratios, expressions, basic equations, and number operations while building confidence in problem-solving.

Students are expected to bring a laptop each week to access their assignments and participate fully in class.

In-person quizzes and exams may be used to assess understanding and support steady progress throughout the year.

This hybrid Algebra I course builds a strong foundation in algebraic thinking. The instructor will create a Khan Academy class where students complete assignments and lessons throughout the week. All student put bring in a computer to class each week as Khan Academy is a web-based curriculum.

Class time is focused on reviewing assignments, working through example problems, and developing strategies for solving equations and understanding relationships. Topics include linear equations, functions, inequalities, and graphing.

Students are expected to bring a laptop each week to access their assignments and participate fully in class.

In-person quizzes and exams may be used to assess understanding and ensure steady progress throughout the year.
