Algebra 1 (8th-12th)

Day & Time: Thursdays, 2:00pm-3:30pm
Grades: 9-12 (8th graders may take for HS credit)

Cost: $350 ($175/semester + $0 material fee) - FULL YEAR COURSE
1 HS Credit: Must take both Fall & Spring

Students must bring each week: Computer
This hybrid Algebra I course builds a strong foundation in algebraic thinking. The instructor will create a Khan Academy class where students complete assignments and lessons throughout the week. All student put bring in a computer to class each week as Khan Academy is a web-based curriculum.
Class time is focused on reviewing assignments, working through example problems, and developing strategies for solving equations and understanding relationships. Topics include linear equations, functions, inequalities, and graphing.
Students are expected to bring a laptop each week to access their assignments and participate fully in class.
In-person quizzes and exams may be used to assess understanding and ensure steady progress throughout the year.
