Intro to Microsoft Excel

.5 HS Credit: Fall Semester (Elective/Computer)
Students learn how to use Microsoft Excel through hands-on projects that reflect real-world applications. They will build skills in organizing data, using formulas, and creating charts to better understand and present information.
This class is practical and application-focused, with students working through guided activities that develop confidence in managing and analyzing data. Topics include formatting spreadsheets, basic and intermediate formulas, sorting and filtering data, and creating simple visualizations.
Students will also be introduced to tools like data validation and pivot tables, helping them identify patterns and make informed decisions using data.
High school students have the option to complete additional assignments to earn ½ credit.
Parents stay connected through clear weekly expectations and project updates.
