Sound & Soul: Music Jam Session
Day & Time: Thursdays, 2:00pm-3:30pm
Grades: 7-12
Teacher: Anneliese Trapp
Cost: $205 ($175/semester + $30 material fee)
.5 HS Credit: Fall Semester (Art)
Students explore music through listening, discussion, and hands-on collaboration. This class is designed for musicians who want to grow by playing, creating, and learning alongside others.
Class time is divided between studying music and making music. Students will listen to and analyze artists across genres while also learning new techniques and approaches to their craft. The second half of class focuses on collaboration, where students jam together, experiment with ideas, and create music in a group setting.
This class is active and student-driven, giving musicians the opportunity to build confidence, develop their skills, and experience the creative process with others.
Students should have some experience playing an instrument or singing and are encouraged to bring their instrument to class (if portable). A piano will be available for use.
Parents stay connected through simple updates and class highlights.
