Spanish Foundations: Real-Life Communication
Day & Time: Mondays, 10:00am-11:30am
Grades: 9-12th
Teacher: Olga Barrientos
Cost: $200 ($175/semester + $25 material fee)
.5 HS Credit: Fall Semester
Students learn Spanish by actively using it. Through conversation, real-life scenarios, and interactive activities, they will develop practical communication skills while building a strong foundation in grammar, vocabulary, reading, and writing.
Taught by a native Spanish speaker, this class is participation-driven and designed to help students grow in confidence as they listen, speak, and engage with the language in meaningful ways.
Parents stay connected through clear weekly guidance for vocabulary review, listening practice, and light at-home assignments to support consistent progress.
This course is designed to meet the expectations of a high school ½ credit.
Curriculum: My Daily Spanish (workbooks will be purchased by teacher and included in material fee)
Student Materials to Bring (aside from pencil box, water bottle, & lunch):
- notebook (provided by teacher)
