STEM Explorations
Day & Time: Mondays, 2:00pm-3:30pm
Grades: 6-8
Teacher: Derek Cooke
Cost: $225 ($175/semester + $50 material fee)
Students engage in hands-on projects that explore science, technology, engineering, and math through building, designing, and problem-solving. This class focuses on applying concepts rather than memorizing them, giving students opportunities to think creatively and work through real-world challenges.
This class is active and project-based, with students participating in activities such as simple engineering builds, design challenges, and collaborative problem-solving tasks. Projects may include structures, basic machines, coding concepts, or other applied STEM experiences.
Students build confidence as they test ideas, make adjustments, and learn through trial and error in a supportive environment.
Parents stay connected through simple updates and project highlights throughout the semester.
